The appearance of silver with fused dichroic glass enhances both materials. I have trained in the traditional silversmithing techniques over the last four years and enjoy working with sheet and wire sterling silver to produce work which enlivens the colours and designs of my glass.
Fine silver is a purer and softer form of silver produced after metal clay has been fired in the kiln. I find that the versatility of metal clay gives me so many more opportunities for wider creativity in jewellery making. The metal clay that I use is called either PRECIOUS METAL CLAY (PMC) or ART CLAY (AC) and I tend to work mostly with the silver clay using the odd embellishments of gold.
