Waiting for kiln space to proceed...

Quite a labour intensive process to make these large murrine.
Following a great online course run by glass artist @catherinedunstanglass, I am pleased with the results so far. This involves a process of winding stringers & noodles around a central Bullseye glass rod which is then wrapped in kiln paper and Silkmat before fusing in the kiln. Later when cooled the resulting glass is cut into slices. These examples were laid out on the kiln floor so do loose their initial round shape. My plan later is to flatten these slices & then add to another prepared piece. More to come ...
